Tyrone Mings admits England’s defence has not been up to standard ahead of the Euros.
And Mings fears some world-class strikers will punish mistakes during the tournament unless the Three Lions tighten up at the back.
Gareth Southgate’s men kept two clean sheets in their warm-up games against Austria and Romania in Middlesbrough.
But Southgate knew neither of these opponents was on the same level as some of the rivals England will have to beat if they want to conquer Europe this summer.
Southgate admitted to having concerns about his defence, which appears to be the genuine weak point of the team heading into Sunday’s Group D opener against Croatia at Wembley.
Mings could start against Croatia, with Harry Maguire missing through injury, but comes into the Euros on the back of an inconsistent season.
