Nicholls tips Galvin to grab Gold Cup glory

CHAMPION trainer Paul Nicholls fancies Galvin to land the Cheltenham Gold Cup two weeks today.

The Ditcheat maestro does not have a runner in jump racing’s blue riband, which he has won four times.

But he says: “I like Galvin. I always thought he was a Gold Cup horse after he won at Cheltenham last year. He stays, he’s a good horse.

“I thought he was ideal for the race when he ran so well behind Frodon at Down Royal this season.

“Also, when he won at Leopardstown over Christmas he impressed me.

“He’s progressive and unexposed. That’s the one I would have a bet on.”
