ROB KEY has asked Ben Stokes to build a Test team in his image to lift it off the floor and get back to winning ways.
Key was in no doubt that Stokes was the right man for the job after speaking to those closest to him before making the first major decision of his tenure as managing director of men's cricket.
There are more big calls to come, but the direction and improvement of the Test side is the main issue Key wants to get to grips with and he is using Stokes as his template.
"Ben epitomises everything our redball team needs," said Key (inset) on his first public appearance at Lord's since getting the job.
