TORNADO FLYER put the wind up his better-fancied Ladbrokes King George VI Chase rivals for the biggest shock in the race's 84-year history.
Chantry House led the market at 3-1 in a quality-infused nine-runner field that included dual winner Clan Des Obeaux (7-2), last year's victor Frodon (7-1) and Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Minella Indo (100-30).
But it was 28-1 shot Tornado Flyer and Danny Mullins, overriding Nupsala's 25-1 turn-up in 1987, who led at the second-last fence and galloped to a nine length triumph to give his uncle, Willie Mullins, a second King George 20 years after the success of Florida Pearl.
