Gabby Logan was inspired to “have a purpose” in her life and career after her brother died from a heart condition.

The Match of the Day host was 19 when Daniel, aged 15, died of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Gabby, 47, said: “When my brother died, I definitely had a sense that I had to have a purpose. A purpose in what I did, which goes back to dynamism.”
