Pegasus Food Futures helps to secure our food supply by investing in modern agricultural technology
We tend to take our food for granted, which explains the huge amount of food produced for human consumption that is wasted annually: approximately 1.3 billion tonnes of food gets frittered away every year. That is why Pegasus Food Futures stresses on the importance of food security, making it the company’s top priority and primary goal.
The Food and Agriculture Organization defines food security as: “When all people, at all times, have physical, social and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.”
