Take the Tourbillon with three golden bridges, created nearly 150 years ago by Constant Girard, one of the greatest practitioners of the art of tourbillon making. Remaining the emblematic model of the Maison, this iconic timepiece lives on through two branches of Girard Perregaux’s creations. One is closest to the original Three Bridges design—in terms of traditional finishes and refined material—while the other has translated it into today’s horological language—through innovative surface treatments and contemporary lines. Post transformation, Girard-Perregaux has renamed the watch Neo-Tourbillon with three bridges, showcasing the brand’s potential for innovation and honouring its history yet embracing the future.
Made of titanium, strong as steel yet 45 per cent lighter, the watch is sandblasted down before being coated with black PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition). When viewed from above, the watch has a slightly oval-shaped cut on each side, a figure that is also present on the skeleton dial.
