It all began with a mammoth scandal involving Hollywood bigwig Harvey Weinstein. Once the allegations came out, things were set into motion. Using the hashtag MeToo, actor Alyssa Milano started a revolution on Twitter, urging women to speak up about the times they’ve been sexually harassed or assaulted, in an effort to give everyone in the world a reality check about the magnitude of the problem.
24 hours later, almost 4.7 million people around the world had already engaged in the #MeToo conversation on Facebook and it was shared almost a million times on Twitter in 48 hours. Now, almost two months later, we’ve heard the stories (some are still being told) but what next?
