At a tender age, Jessie already set her mind that she wasn’t one who was going to settle for a nine-to-five job as she always believed that she was meant for the outdoors. She started her career as a Business Centre agent and was part of the pre-opening team of the Westin brand in Malaysia. After a few years, she decided to take a leap of faith and venture into sales, where she has managed to stay put for about 10 years. One of the biggest challenges at that point of time was to chase revenues and hit sales targets for some of the biggest hotels and resorts located within the Klang Valley. While she admits that it was a comfortable position, Jessie decided to make a bold move (again) by challenging herself to live in Sanya, China, for two years. Upon returning to Kuala Lumpur, she took on the role of Room Division Manager and was later promoted to Director of Rooms in 2017.
Her definition of success:
“It’s the excitement of fulfilling what I want to achieve – not someone else’s desire but mine alone – with both passion and enthusiasm.”
