The HGTV star opens up about her fresh start with Husband Ant: 'It's a dream come true'

Just one day after Christina Anstead and her new husband, Ant, returned home from their weeklong honeymoon in Bora Bora earlier this year, the HGTV star knew something had changed. “I just felt different,” she says. “We both love traveling, but all of a sudden I was like, ‘Let’s not take any more trips for a while and just spend time at home,’ which was so unlike me to say.” Christina took a pregnancy test, expecting to rule out the possibility. “Right away it was positive,” she says. “I was shocked, but then it all made sense. Like, no wonder I’ve been such a homebody. I’m nesting already!” Christina, 35, and Ant, 40, are expecting their first child together, a boy due in September. While adding another member to their newly blended family (Christina shares daughter Taylor, 8, and son Brayden, 3, with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, 37, while Ant is father to daughter Amelie, 15, and son Archie, 12, with his ex-wife Louise) wasn’t exactly in the plan, the couple are thrilled. “In the last 12 months we’ve lived in four houses, got divorced, got married and now we’re having a baby,” says Ant. “When you think about how everything unfolded for us, it’s incredible. This is our act 2.”
