Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre recently organised an evening of Rabindra Sangeet by Ameenah Ahmed and Mamun Zahid at Bangladesh National Museum. The Rabindra Sangeet soiree was held at Kobi Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the museum.
Popular Tagore singer Ameenah Ahmed received her honours degree in Intermediate Piano Playing and Theory from Trinity College of Music, London.
She was in touch with western music and drama for almost 36 years. After that she started learning Rabindra Sangeet and Classical Music from noted teachers of Bangladesh.
