Pahalgam, JAMMU AND KASHMIR

Covered in lush shades of green all year round, there is something mystical about Pahalgam during winter. With the Lidder River running through the town, Pahalgam has a local zoo and parks, all of which are worth visiting. January also sees the start of the Pahalgam Snow Festival, which includes a ski championship, snow rugby and performances by Dhambali Fakirs, whose dance form is unique to Kashmir.
