Atlanta’s Zazie Beetz is still learning how to play the fame game—and gearing up for the speed round to come when she makes her blockbuster debut in May’s Deadpool sequel.

GROCERY SHOPPING ISN’T AS easy for Zazie Beetz as it once was. “I do get recognized on the street now,” says the 26-year-old Atlanta star. “It hasn’t been hugely invasive, but it happens every day.” Beetz has enjoyed critical acclaim for going toe-to-toe with Donald Glover as girlfriend Van on his FX series, but the actress admits she’s worried about how her life will change on May 18 when she debuts as sardonic mercenary Domino in Untitled Deadpool Sequel. “I’m very nervous I won’t be able to lead my life in the free way that I would like,” says Beetz. “I never want to feel like I have to hide who I am, whether that’s figuratively or literally.”
