The consolidated bid came at over Rs.16000 crores with each league game now having a worth of approximately 55 crores. Unparalleled as far as the history of the sport goes, so much so that even international games aren’t as valuable in terms of the money involved. Apart from television and digital ads, the other major source of income for Star would obviously be the payout from cable and dth providers.
