THIS SEMI-DETACHED HOUSE IS DESIGNED TO WELCOME AND HOST FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
When entertaining is an important part of a home owner’s lifestyle, the common spaces in the house should be designed for this purpose.
That is exactly what Renaissance Planners & Designers has done with this semidetached house in Yuk Tong Avenue.
“The design intent was to create for a couple in their forties a bright but cosy space that integrates the living, dining and kitchen into a single entity that allows interaction during entertainment,” says Design Director Kelvin Bing.
The dining room is clearly the focal point, with its double volume space accented by a crystal pendant light specially imported from Italy.
Flanking this area is a 10m-high sliding door that not only lets in natural light in the day, and allows for views out the side garden and pond, but can also be opened for the tropical breeze to filter in.
