The Odyssey Magazine Spring Edition #243 is themed ‘Arise Awake’.

Odyssey’s Autumn Edition #245 explores ‘Conscious Choices’.
We all want to live well. But sometimes it’s hard-going: The media, our fast-paced society, technology and the responsibilities of daily life… It can be an overwhelming realisation that true wellness comes from within. In this edition we explore ‘Conscious Choices, the Power of Self-Awareness’, ‘Eco-Habitats, a Lifestyle Choice’ and ‘Wellness Travel’ alongside all of our regular segments.  Going forward we will bring you a new and innovative segment in which explore ‘Wellness within’ and all of its facets. We first have to attain wellness within, in order to experience optimal wellbeing for our unique body and being, essential for living an engaged, happy and fulfilled life.

In this our Odyssey Summer 2023/24 Edition # 244 we share the science of joy, what joy is and the unboundedness of joy. We explore conscious conservation as well spiritual and wellness travel, including a poignant and powerful personal experience in ‘The Africa I See’ account of self-liberation. We take you on powerful healing journeys and bring you face to face with imposter syndrome. We touch on the reality of mental health challenges at this time of year, how to reach out and how to support those who reach out to you.

This edition is a gentle reminder that in the summer of our lives we say goodbye to a long, inwardly-focused time of self-reflection and open ourselves to receive the fiery energy of the sun, moving us forward, cleansing every fibre of our being. This season is a powerful time to shine, manifest dreams and to embrace spiritual transformation.

In the winter edition of Odyssey Magazine, issue #242, we feature the ‘Great Ozone Debate’ and share an article on the ‘Ancient Awareness of the Power of Belief’. And our conscious parenting segment takes a look at the ‘Enigma of the Vagus Nerve’.
With the spotlight on “Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food”, we feature food, stress and human immunity, we share an inspirational conscious and holistic weight loss journey in Wavelength and explore super-powered immunity, natural remedies for viruses and superbugs and the power of pro-powered microorganisms like fermented foods and how to make Kimchi. Autumn is a season for balancing light and dark, letting go and accepting the impermanence of things. A time to reflect, release and receive. 
     In this edition we explore the role of the ancient masters and their influence on the shamans of today. A Near Death Experience (NDE) segment asks the question: ‘Does consciousness extend beyond death’. Ecovillages are in the spotlight in two articles: An experiential piece ‘Living Intentionally in an Ecovillage’ and another, ‘Living and Loving Life’. Globally people are grappling with loneliness, isolation and, very often, food insecurity. 2023 - Time to recharge, reset and restart 
Living consciously and walking gently upon the Earth, sees us making sustainable choices that affect all aspects of our lives; these choices dominate our inner dialogue and decisions. What we drive, how we recycle, reuse and repurpose, what we buy, what we eat, how we work, engage and travel. What we listen to, view and read. In this summer 2022, 23 edition we place the spotlight on Enlightened Business and we feature Fabulous Fungi, exploring all things mushroom, edible, medicinal and psychedelic. When considering travel, environmental factors like carbon emissions, waste management and off-grid offerings are a dominant factor, as is the desire to support sustainable businesses and conscious communities. In 2023 we will explore travel options across our vibrant planet; in this edition, South Coast KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa’s Bali.

It’s springtime, time to awaken from our winter hibernation, renew and restore. 
In this edition we feature African Botanicals, Flower Power: Sharing how to make flower essences and highlighting the benefits of essential oils in the treatment of mental health. This edition is also packed with uplifting and inspirational writings for nourishment of body, mind and soul.

Odyssey Winter Edition #238   
Thich Nhat Hanh left the earth plane in January this year; this renowned ‘father of mindfulness’, passed at the age of 95. The celebrated Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, poet and peace activist was known throughout his life for the practice of ‘engaged Buddhism’. He also authored many writings, including a collection of insights titled How to Love, the inspiration for this feature in this edition. We also feature Vietnam in our eco-travel segment.
What is love exactly? It has been defined and redefined ad nauseam, its psychology has been dissected and applied to philosophical frameworks and - did you know? - a mathematical formula has been devised for attaining it. And yet anyone who has fallen in love - or out of love, for that matter - knows that love remains elusive, the most confounding mystery of our human experience.
Showing up and facing off with this mystery take us into the real and raw of aspects our being, often unwittingly into a primal dance of life.  We commence this dance solo, with ourselves first, self-love is the purest and most powerful love of all and most of us need a ‘kick in the pants’ in the self-love and self-esteem departments.

In the autumn 2022 edition #237 we feature Ayurveda, one of the world's oldest holistic healing systems. Life Alignment is our modality of choice and we introduce you to the incredible field of neuro-coaching which embraces the very latest neuroscientific research.  In our conscious parenting segment we explore how the Enneagram promotes better parenting.
