Denpasar (TROBOS.COM). Two OIE fish reference health laboratories in fish health are being prepared for international reference.

Both laboratories, namely the Fish Health Laboratorum at the Center for Freshwater Aquaculture (BBPBAT) Sukabumi as the OIE reference laboratory for the detection of Koi Hervest Virus (KHV) disease, and the Fish Health Laboratory at Brawijaya Aquaculture Aquaculture Center (BPBAP) Situbondo for the referral of the disease shrimp.

The World Animal Health Organization / OIE (The World Organization for Animal Health) facilitates both laboratories through twinning programs. For KHV test, BPBAT Sukabumi cooperated with National Research Institute of Aquaculture Fisheries Research Agency (MIE-Japan) as parent laboratory. BPBAP Situbondo in collaboration with the Aquaculture Laboratory of the University of Arizona, USA as Parent Laboratory of shrimp disease.
