Kicking off our regular columns is Tim Hooper's Bench Blog in which he finishes his R/C assist Veron Cardinal. In his Weekenders column Alex Whittaker travels to BMFA Buckminster to revel in the delights of the SAM35 Swapmeet, whilst Chris Williams brings us more Scale Gliding treats with a visit to the first White Sheet scale fly-in of 2021. Our Pro-Plan in this issue is for an exciting twin 50mm EDF jet, the fabulous A-10 Thunderbolt II designed by Tony Nijhuis. No launch concerns with this one as it takes off with its wheels in the 'up' position! On review we have the updated version of the Arrows Husky, a Cub inspired cabin model fitted with a state-of-the-art gyro stabilisation system. Our feature articles include Alex Whittaker's latest Model Magic walk around of Ken Dallow's mighty 87-inch Fairey Flycatcher. Constructed to 1/4 scale she is powered by a magnificent Saito 36cc four stroke petrol engine. Alex then returns to Buckminster to soak up the relaxed atmosphere out on the flight line at the SAM35 Retro-Fest.
Arnaldo Correia starts a two-part feature on the models flown by the Spanish Dawn Patrol, which concludes next month. There are some mighty good WWI era models to feast your eyes upon here! Finally, Canadian scale modeller Jon Harper likes to set himself an unusual challenge when selecting his R/C projects. And they don't come much more unusual than the somewhat ungainly Blackburn Triplane!
