UNFLINCHINGLY FACING DEATH
Li Dazhao, who spent 10 of his 38 years of life in Beijing, pushed forward the organised dissemination of Marxism and Marxist theories in China. With Beijing as the base of his revolutionary activities, Li founded the Communist Part of China (CPC), led the workers’ movement, and established the first cooperation between the Kuomintang and the CPC.

GLORIOUS HISTORY
Over the past 100 years of the Communist Party of China, 1949 represents a significant point in time. On March 25 that year, the CPC Central Committee moved its headquarters from Hebei Province to Fragrant Hills in Beijing. Soon after, on October 1, a grand ceremony was held at Tian’anmen Square to celebrate the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
