Print's charming – so don't try judging this book by its cover

There were a few curious looks in the hairdresser's the other day when, during the re-bleaching process, I pulled a hardback book out of my bag and started to read.
Seems it's quite retro these days to be reading an actual book rather than staring at a Kindle or even your phone.
But there's something satisfying about sitting with your nose in a book, utterly immersed, the ever so slightly musty smell of ink and paper wafting up as you turn the pages.
Don't get me wrong, I've flirted with electronic reading devices over the past few years - and they definitely have their plus points.
A Kindle is slim, light and a great alternative to lugging half a dozen paperbacks in your luggage when you go on holiday.
