New home registrations showing 'steady increase', says insurance provider

Building for the future

The number of homes registered to be built in the third quarter of this year was 8% higher than the same period in 2024, according to a warranty and insurance provider.

The National House Building Council (NHBC) recorded 30,643 new-build registrations in the third quarter of 2025, marking an 8% increase compared with the third quarter of 2024.

The number of new home registrations was also up by 1% compared with the second quarter of this year and 5% more than in the first quarter of 2025.
