Health care giant putting up $500-M tertiary hospital in Phl

US-based health care giant Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) is planning to invest $500 million for a tertiary hospital as it looks to also expand its global business services (GBS) operations in the Philippines.

The Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs (OSAPIEA) said in a statement yesterday that BSMH's plan to spend between $300 million and $500 million for a premium, state-of-the-art tertiary hospital was conveyed during a meeting with President Marcos in Washington.
The state-of-the-art hospital is expected to provide premium medical services to Filipinos while supporting BSMH's global workforce.
If realized, the investment for the hospital will be one of the largest private-sector health care investments by a US-based system in the Philippines.
