|August 08, 2025
IN the wake of complaints over caste Hindus raising an 'untouchability wall' to restrict Dalits from entering the locality where they reside, the Karur revenue divisional officer (RDO) on Thursday issued an eviction notice demanding removal of the concrete structure raised on a 1.25-acre parcel of government land at Muthuladampatti.
Karur RDO M Mohammed Byzal confirmed to TNIE that he has served the eviction notice to members of the Thottia Naicker community at Muthuladampatti, who allegedly built the concrete block wall that is now obstructing access for residents of the Arunthathiyar community.
