Modi sits in last row at BJP MPs' workshop for V-P poll

|September 08, 2025
PRIME Minister Narendra Modi drew attention on Sunday when he chose a seat in the last row during the BJP MPs' two-day workshop at the GMC Balyogi Auditorium in the Parliament complex.
His gesture, party colleagues said, reflected humility and his willingness to participate as an ordinary MP from Varanasi.
The workshop, aimed at training MPs on voting procedures ahead of the September 9 Vice Presidential election, also featured sessions on governance, communication and party strategy. On the first day, MPs discussed India's goal of becoming a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047 and the effective use of social media to showcase government achievements.
