These were the opening words in the iconic speech by the first prime minister of a “freed” India, Jawaharal Nehru, who promised freedom of expression and freedom of religion. Freedom of movement and commerce, education. Freedom from all oppression and tyranny. Freedom from aligning the new Bharat with violent, dictatorial, tyrannical, aggressive, colonising, pseudo-democracies like the NATO nations!
And Zohran Mamdani repeated the same words in his victory speech. Swore to free the mind from the materialistic, capitalistic, Zionistic approach. Exactly like the “Red Rose” of India once proposed to do.
