Adult Christmas show - with a twist

Cast members Suzy Bennett, Sam Crawley (top) and Edward Tripp

AN adult panto devised by Plymouth’s former laureate of words is returning to the city this Christmas - and going on tour.

Laura Horton has worked with top comics Suzy Bennett, Sam Crawley and Edward Tripp to create Ciderella, described as an “adult Christmas show with a twist”.

The show was a hit at the Barbican Theatre, which helped with its development, last Christmas and this festive season will tour Liskeard’s Sterts Arts, Exeter Phoenix, Plymouth Argyle’s Thatcher's Sports Bar, and the Pleasance Theatre in London.

In the show, an amateur dramatics theatre company, The Plymuff Players, want to perform the classic Cinderella, but in their haste, one of the team misses out the ‘n’ on the marketing materials and can’t afford to reprint the posters.

Forced to make the best of things, will the team crack under pressure, or will they deliver the performance of their lives?

Written, directed and performed by award-winning city writer Laura, comedians Edward, Suzy and Sam, Ciderella played to sold-out audiences at the Barbican Theatre in 2024.
