A significant shift unfolded in Tamil Nadu political dynamics as P H Manoj Pandian, the MLA for Alangulam constituency in the Tenkasi district, formally handed in his resignation from the Legislative Assembly and joined the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam at the party’s Chennai headquarters.
The move comes amid growing tensions within his former party, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, particularly over its relationship with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Pandian’s departure from AIADMK and accession to DMK were announced in the presence of Chief Minister M K Stalin at Anna Arivalayam, the party's headquarters.
