Leading with Purpose: How a woman entrepreneur is transforming India’s packaging industry

Seema Bansal, Founder & Executive Director at DCGPac.com

Packaging is the unseen force behind every business—protecting products, shaping customer experience, and enabling growth. Yet, few look at packaging as a space for innovation and meaningful impact. One woman entrepreneur did. With a vision to simplify, streamline, and revolutionize how India packs and ships, she built DCGpac into one of the country’s leading packaging solutions providers.

In this exclusive interview with The Daily Guardian, she talks about breaking barriers in a male-dominated sector, building purpose-driven leadership, and why women will shape the future of sustainable and ethical packaging.

QI. What inspired you to step into the world of packaging, and how did you navigate the early challenges of being a woman entrepreneur in this space?

A. My journey into packaging began with a simple realization: every business—whether online, retail, or manufacturing—depends on packaging, but very few understand its deeper impact. Packaging determines efficiency, sustainability, and even customer delight. I wanted to build something that solved real problems at scale, and that’s how DCGpac was born—a belief that packaging can be smarter, greener, and more accessible for thousands of Indian businesses.

Entering a male-dominated industry came with its own set of challenges. In boardrooms, warehouses, and vendor meetings, I was often the only woman. To earn trust and lead large operational teams, I had to be patient, confident, and extremely resilient. I committed myself to continuous learning, building strong systems, and proving my capabilities through consistent action.
