BuCor personnel promoted after arresting colleague for drugs

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) on Monday, Dec. 1, promoted one of its personnel who caught a colleague in possession of illegal drugs inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City.
At the same time, the bureau appealed to all employees to refrain from engaging in criminal activities inside prison facilities.
BuCor Deputy Director Al Perreras said one of the bureau's personnel, Corrections Technical Officer Melchora Wong, was arrested last Nov. 26 in possession of two plastic sachets of shabu inside the NBP.
