Public asked to come forward about drink and drug-driving

With the festive season approaching, independent charity Crimestoppers is asking people across Sunderland to speak up anonymously about drink and drug-driving that is putting lives at risk on our roads.

In the last year, the charity received more than 55,000 reports from the public about individuals regularly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, an increase of over 22% on the previous year.
