REPORTER LAYCIE BECK TRIES OUT SLEAFORD'S LION CAFE

Cafe lives up to its billing after taking the lion's share of votes in readers' poll

LINCOLNSHIRE is home to hundreds of amazing cafes, from coffee shops to popular brunch spots. Earlier this year we asked our readers which they thought was the best cafe in the county, and after five businesses were shortlisted, it was the Lions Cafe at Sleaford that took the top spot with 18,853 votes.

Despite only opening last year, the business has become incredibly popular with locals as well as those travelling through the area, thanks to it being located on the edge of the town, just off the A17.

Run by husband and wife Russ and Debbie Pryor, the dog-friendly cafe was praised for its friendly staff and excellent chefs.

We decided to visit the cafe for ourselves to see how good it really was, and it actually managed to exceed my expectations.

Whilst the cafe is not huge, there is a good amount of indoor seating, as well as a covered outdoor area and a reasonable sized car park.
