Shot survivor of synagogue attack: I was saved by God

A SURVIVOR of the terror attack on a Manchester synagogue has told of the moment he was accidentally shot by police but says God saved him.

Yoni Finlay, 39, had been preparing to lead prayers when Jihad Al-Shamie drove his car at worshippers, attacked others with a knife and tried to storm the building, smashing at the doors with plant pots.

But when armed police arrived and fired at Al-Shamie, one of the bullets penetrated the door and hit Mr Finlay, piercing his chest.

It then travelled through his lower back before lodging in the chest of another worshipper, Adrian Daulby.
