St Mirren were stunned by an injury-time sucker punch as Aberdeen snatched victory at the end of a controversial contest.
Marko Lazetic was the Dons hero at the SMISA Stadium with virtually the last kick of the game on Saturday.
By then, Saints had seen a goal ruled out and Jayden Richardson sent-off - both following VAR viewings.
It was all too much for Paisley gaffer Stephen Robinson who gave his verdict to ropey referee Lloyd Wilson after the final whistle and received a red card.
After a good start to the season, Saints have now suffered back-to-back defeats in the Premiership.
And life isn’t about to get easier with a trip to Dundee United next weekend.
Marcus Fraser, Keanu Baccus, Mark O'Hara and Dan Nlundulu started for Saints with Richard King, Liam Donnelly, Roland Idowu and Jonah Ayunga on the bench after the 2-0 loss to Kilmarnock before the international break.
