On Thursday, Delhi's newly sworn-in Chief Minister Rekha Gupta led the first Cabinet meeting of the newly formed BJP government in Delhi, where several key decisions were made that promise to shape the future of the Capital. The first-time MLA from Shalimar Bagh, Gupta, took office after a grand ceremony at Ramlila Maidan, marking the BJP's return to power in Delhi after 27 years.
In her first major move as Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta allocated portfolios to her Cabinet ministers. As expected, she retained several significant portfolios including Finance, Revenue, Women & Child Development, Land & Building, Vigilance, and Information & Public Relations. Gupta also stated she would oversee any department not assigned to other ministers.
