IT is fair to say the jury is still out on Antony after his divisive debut season for United.

The 23-year-old has shown glimpses of world-class talent in his first year at the club, though it is a campaign that will be remembered just as much for the frustrations as the flair.

He is a player whose risky approach will polarise supporters some love the tricky winger and the sense of mystery he brings to the right wing role, while others will be pulling their hair out over the unnecessary flamboyance that often takes centre stage.

What everyone will agree on is that he needs more time before a fair judgment can be passed.

Antony is not only new to English football, but he is also relatively new to the European game as well and he needs more time to settle in before expectations can be raised.
