Salford prove they are in the play-off battle

PAUL Rowley was delighted after his Salford side thrashed struggling Castleford 42-10 to underline their Betfred Super League play-off credentials.

The Red Devils ran in eight tries and playmaker Marc Sneyd booted five goals as the Rowley's players kept riding high among the competition's leading sides.
Rowley also singled out veteran second-rower Kallum Watkins for special praise after he impressed on his 350th career appearance.
Head coach Rowley said: "The result was the main thing, but to get such a convincing win is probably a measure of how far we've come in 18 months or So.
"I don't think we were at our absolute best, but I always felt we were in control.
