'Chanel tunnel' boost is priceless

CITY and business leaders have hailed the impact of Chanel's Metiers d'Art show in the Northern Quarter -- but no-one can say for certain how much of a boost it had.

The exclusive event, attended by the likes of Alexa Chung, Hugh Grant, and Tilda Swinton, took place under a specially-built canopy which has been nicknamed 'the Chanel Tunnel' by Mancs.

In the days leading up to the cat-walk, numerous A-listers were seen in the city, and on the night, were ferried around in blacked-out taxis from high-end hotels, to the catwalk, and on to Victoria Baths.
