MARC CUCURELLA will join Chelsea's guard of honour for Liverpool today - but he's already plotting to overthrow Arne Slot's champions and plant a blue flag back at the Premier League summit.

CUCU: WE'LL BE ON GUARD ...IT'LL BE OUR TURN NEXT!

According to seismic data collected by scientists, Liverpool fans caused a series of tremors celebrating the club's record-equalling 20th title at Anfield.

Alexis Mac Allister's strike in last Sunday's 5-1 rout of Tottenham registered a peak magnitude of 1.74 on the Richter scale - but now Cucurella is planning to administer an aftershock.

The Spanish left-back (above), a contender for Chelsea's player of the season, said: "Hopefully, we'll have this guard of honour ourselves in the next few years."

Cucurella, 26, had a difficult first season at the Bridge in 2022-23 as a £60million component in the club's £1.5billion three-year trolley dash, but he has won over fans with six goals for the Blues this term.
