Leinster young gun Diarmaid was delighted to get his chance to catch the eye while wearing an Irish jersey

IRELAND played only two 'A' games last season, but for Diarmaid Mangan they were priceless.

The Leinster young gun was part of a side that beat Spain 61-24 earlier this month, scoring nine tries, a match that seemed hard to gauge at the time who beat For sure, the result looked far better a week later when England A Ireland A back in February - needed to score the game's last two tries to beat the Spanish 29-25.

"We enjoyed the week in Spain," says 22-year-old Mangan, who comes into the second-row at Leinster for their trip to Dragons tonight.

"It was good to come into the new environment and kind of see things slightly different in some aspects than we do at Leinster.
