HC relief to veterinary officers on attendance

In a significant relief to veterinary officers across Rajasthan, the Rajasthan high court on Wednesday directed the state to not take any coercive action against officers failing to mark attendance through a geo-fenced app.
JODHPUR:
The court also allowed alternative methods of reporting attendance to ensure the officers' work remains uninterrupted.
The directions were issued by justice Arun Monga while hearing a petition filed by the Veterinary Doctors Association, Rajasthan.
The association argued that the app's geo-fencing feature restricted officers to marking attendance only within the office premises, disregarding the field-based nature of their work.
