|November 12, 2025
India’s gross direct tax collection saw a 2.15% increase at 215.35 trillion in the current financial year up to November 10 as compared to about 215.03 trillion in the same period in 2024-25, according to government data.
Net collections, however, rose by 7% to 212.92 trillion in about eight months of FY26 (April 1, 2025 to November 10, 2025) as against 212.08 trillion in the same period in FY 25 because of a sharp fall in refunds.
