The punishment for the perpetrators of the Delhi terror attack will send a message to the world, Union home minister Amit Shah said on Thursday, as he promised the “strictest” action after the car blast that killed 10 and injured dozens.

“All those who committed this cowardly act and those behind it will be brought before the law and given the strictest possible punishment,” Shah said during an event in Gujarat that he addressed over video conference. “Punishment for the perpetrators of the Delhi terror attack will send a message to the world that no one should ever dare to even think of such an attack in our country,” he added.

He also expressed his condolences to the families of the blast victims during his address over video conference, where he inaugurated the Shri Motibhai R Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School and the Sagar Organic Plant.
