The Amritsar police on Monday claimed to have dismantled a drug trafficking cartel with the arrest of four drug smugglers, including a 16-year-old juvenile, and seized 4.01kg of heroin, ₹20,000 drug money and three motorcycles from their possession, said Punjab director general of police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav here on Monday.
JALANDHAR: Four people were killed and 11 injured in a collision between a bus and a tractor-trolley near Jallowal village on the Jalandhar-Jammu highway early on Monday.
The deceased were identified as bus driver Satwinder Singh from Jammu and Kashmir; passengers Kuldeep Singh and his son Gurbachan Singh, both residents of Delhi; and Varinder Pal Singh, a resident of Phallewal village in Machhiwara, Ludhiana.
