DAME Andrea Jenkyns says an attempt has begun to bring back the Lincoln Christmas Market, although questions remain about how feasible this is.

- BY JAMIE WALLER Local Democracy Reporter

The Reform Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire pledged to “return the Christmas to Lincoln" for 2025 during the election campaign.

Her office says that early discussions are being held with the City of Lincoln Council. However, the Labour-run authority has repeatedly said it won't be part of running any future events, which were cancelled in 2023 over safety concerns.

Andrea Jenkyns promised to bring back the market this festive period while campaigning to become mayor.
