EDDIE HOWE has warned Newcastle fans he can't factor their opinion into his selection process against Everton.

The Toon boss is under fire to replace Nick Pope with Aaron Ramsdale for the teatime clash at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Pope dropped a clanger in Marseille when racing out of his goal to try to stop Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who fired into the empty net on Tuesday.

He then grabbed a superb second as Marseille came from behind to win and dent Toon's Champions League progress.

That moment of madness sparked a host of calls from fans to change keeper, but Howe (above, right) said: “Of course, I respect the supporters’ opinions, but ultimately I am paid to do the job.
