Besides forging rapid-fire hits, frontman Dexter Holland also has a doctorate in molecular biology, proving rock 'n' roll does not kill brain cells.
"It's mostly being punk makes people smarter," guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman says.
"Honestly, are you that surprised to see punks with PhDs?
"When it started, disco was all the rage. People danced to help them forget their troubles.
