But confident Amorim far happier as stars continue to put in proper shift for shirt

RUBEN AMORIM has spent the weekend stressing to his Manchester United players the need for perspective.

United return to domestic action after the international break in confident mood following five games unbeaten.

The run is the best one since Amorim took charge 12 months ago and the upturn in form has also lifted United to within touching distance of the title race.

But Amorim has suffered enough lows in Manchester already to guarantee that he'll be keeping his feet on the ground.

He'll have no plans to pop the champagne corks just because United have climbed into the top half of the table and not lost for a while. That sort of form is simply expected at a club like United.
