Sculpture auction McCartney's Yellow Submarine Gromit star of charity sale

ORGANISERS of Gromit Unleashed 3 are hoping for a bumper fundraising night when more than 50 “once in a lifetime” sculptures go under the hammer in just over a week's time.
Auctions held at the end of the two previous trails have brought in more then £3.6 million for the Grand Appeal.
Currently, the highest ever paid for a sculpture was Gromit Lightyear - designed by Toy Story creators Pixar which sold for £65,000 in 2013. But collectors could be willing to pay even more for some of this year's designs, not least Yellow Submarine by Paul McCartney.
Gromit Lightyear’s throne could also be challenged by fellow Toy Story-inspired character Gromit Woody.
Other sculptures likely to attract big money include Netflix’s Wednesday; Richard Curtis's Love, Actually; Lucasfilm’s Darth McGraw, Dreamworks’ Poppy and Big Friendly Wallace inspired by Roald Dahl’s BFG.
