Two schemes could raise sentiment
Restaurant associations are optimistic about the high season for tourism and hopeful that economic stimulus such as the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” co-payment scheme and “Tiew Dee Mee Kuen” will lift industry sentiment during this period.
The co-payment scheme runs from Oct 29 to Dec 31, providing non-taxpayers with 2,000 baht each and taxpayers with 2,400 baht each. Participants can spend up to 200 baht per day, with the government covering half.
The Tiew Dee Mee Kuen scheme allows individuals to claim tax deductions for domestic travel expenses and corporate tax deductions for seminars and training held in Thailand, running from Oct 29 to Dec 15.
