DISTINCT MINIMALISM
Sol Luminaire's sculptural Aeon line is getting expanded across three collections. Blobby, the first of the three, features sleek linear fixtures with fluted glass and knurled brass. Taro.Q, inspired by Aeon's earlier Boba collection, draws the eye with a smooth, bulbous shade.
The last of the three, a streamlined series titled Pressed, was conceptualised to functionally enhance exterior walls, all while introducing subtle textures as well as pleasing glass colourways. solluminaire.com.sg
FIRST LIGHTNewly landed at Grafunkt is Japanese lighting brand Yamagiwa, which is backed by a long history of lighting design dating back to 1923.
Two of the standout lights from the brand are the Taliesin 2 floor lamp, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, which draws inspiration from natural lighting sources for a delicate, filtered glow, as well as the Jakobsson lamp, designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson.
